About Sound Mind P&W
Sound Mind P&W, PLLC was born from an idea I’ve carried in my heart since 2007: a vision to make mental healthcare simple, human, and rooted in both science and faith. Psychiatry shouldn’t be intimidating or confusing. When we understand the brain’s design, its neuroanatomy, chemistry, and connection to our thoughts and emotions, we realize how much control we truly have over our mental health.
I founded Sound Mind P&W as a reminder of the promise in 2 Timothy 1:7:
“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind.”
This verse captures the heart of my practice. I believe in empowering people to reclaim peace, confidence, and clarity. To move beyond surviving and begin truly thriving. My goal is to help others find balance between mind, body, and spirit, and to know that having a sound mind is not just possible... it’s within each of us. We just need the correct tools to help us get there.

My Philosophy
As a psychiatric provider, my philosophy is rooted in the belief that mental health care should be both scientifically grounded and deeply human. I approach every patient with compassion, curiosity, and respect for their individual story. My goal is not simply to treat symptoms, but to understand the why behind them, the neurobiological, emotional, and environmental factors that shape each person’s experience.
I believe the brain’s chemistry tells a story, and when we listen to it through science, self-awareness, and faith, healing becomes possible. I aim to help patients recognize that they are not powerless over their thoughts or emotions; through education, integrative care, and evidence-based interventions, they can reclaim control and achieve lasting balance.
